As
a Coldstreamer, if you are lucky enough to be able to serve 22 Years Service
with the Colours you are presented a 'Gold Watch' from Regimental
Headquarters.
This event normally takes place at the home of our Regimental Headquarters
(Wellington Barracks, London) but through some fantastic organisation by the
Regimental Quartermaster Sergeant (WOII Flynn) and his gang of merry men,
the event was brought to us and by kind permission of the Regimental
Sergeant Major the awards were presented in the Sergeants' Mess.
There were a total of 18 watches presented to members of the Regiment
that have completed 22 years with the Coldstream Guards, they were:
· Major Hall
· Major Jasinski · Capt Hunter
· Capt Overton
· WO1 Downes · WO1 Hicks · WO2 Claydon · WO2 Coates · WO2 J Cooper · WO2 P Cooper · WO2 Sheard · WO2 Wright · CSgt Robinson · Sgt Billett · Sgt Ward · LSgt Hoggarth · LSgt Temple · LSgt Thompson
Although a number of these individuals have left the Regiment, a few still
remain in post at Battalion or at various posts in the British Army.
