After participating on the Officers V's Sergeants Mess Football Match, Seniors were then asked to report to the Regimental Restaurant for the Annual Tradition of the "Gdsm's Christmas Lunch".

This event is always dreaded by the Seniors involved. This is not because of the work that is involved but due to the fact that someone always ends up with a Brussel Sprout in the eye!

All Seniors reported to the Cookhouse at approx 12:15hrs for a quick brief by the Regimental Quartermaster Sergeant (WOII P Carr).

The tradition is that the Gdsm, LCpls and attached Cpls sit for their Christmas Lunch with a few free beers, and are waited on by everyone from the Commanding Officer to the Regimental Sergeant Major.

The involved of a Soup Starter, Christmas Main Course and Mince Pies for pudding.

All were then treated to a Special Christmas Message sent from various personalities of the Battalion. This was the Christmas Song "The 12 Days of Christmas", each person singing a verse. This went down very well with everyone and got everyone in the Christmas Spirit. Unfortunately this video is too big to put on the site, and would cause a major crash to ShinyCapstar if more than two tried to download it at once. The video has been placed in storage, for that rainy day!

It is also available on the Boxing DVD as an extra for anyone wishing to view it!
