So, who are the

'Second to None'

The Coldstream Guards are the oldest Regiment in continuous existence* in the British Army. Formed in 1650 it has given over 350 years of Loyal Service to Queen and Country. It is only fitting that such an 'Elite' Regiment have a website that is 'Second to None', dedicated to everything Coldstream . . . . and much, much more! (*YES, we can back up this claim!)

Learn more about the Coldstream Guards .............

@TTShinyCapstar

What's this - have ShinyCapstar been sent images of the Commanding Officer, Lt Col GCC Waters playing with his band - the Red Hot Guardsmen?
NO
............ it's images from the recent Regimental Dinner of Col Waters and his good lady wife showing just how much they are 'very good sports'.

A fantastic evening with good food and very good company.

Popular Links in ShinyCapstar 'THIS MONTH' are . . . . .

Without trying to hype on about such a good thing, let the figures speak for themselves.  The ShinyChat forum is an exclusive and very friendly Coldstream Community.  There are over 800 'active' members, who (at the time of this post) have made over 27 thousand posts in nearly 3 thousand topics.
        That is a lot of banter, chit-chat and knowledge, but to read 'most' of the forums you'll need to join, and best of all its completely FREE.

All this plus an exclusive ranking system where you are awarded medals on the amount of posts made on the forum, oh, and a fantastic arcade/games area!

@@ShinyCapstar

In a Word NO! ShinyCapstar was first created in June 2001, with the main objective to have a 'user friendly' portal of Information to aid anyone interested in the Coldstream Guards (past, present & future) with help or advice when required. The site also functions (where possible) as a way of communication to relay messages to family and friends through the MESSAGE BOARD or through SAVE A STAMP (click the links for more information). You can also take advantage of the CONTACT WAIT-OUT database, where lost friends and colleagues can get in touch.
       Also, another note worth mentioning is although this site is extremely popular, you must note that it is an UNOFFICIAL WEBSITE. The official site for the Coldstream Guards can be found by clicking CLICKING HERE. Any images held on this web-site have been provided by kind permission from Coldstream Guards Regimental Headquarters, or submitted by users of ShinyCapstar. If you wish to take any content from any of these pages PLEASE ASK, as most have been taken from personal archives, and have crown copyright.
