The Families
Officer Returns Back 'to the fold'!
Capt
Beattie (the Families Officer) recently returned
back to the Welfare Office
from Iraq, to find the Office decked out with
balloons and decorations.
He was even issued his own (personalised) Quarter
Tour Medal, a medal well deserved considering he
deployed forgetting his entitlement of 'Brill
Crème'.
Welcome back !!

Hi, Would
it please be possible for you to show the attached
photo on your website?
His dad is LSGT Causer who is currently

Aldershot local
newspaper flies to Iraq.
Star
wings its way to Iraq
A BUNDLE of Stars is winging its way to Iraq this
week, to cheer up members of the Coldstream Guards
and remind them of home.
Around
100 copies of the newspaper were collected from the
Star offices in Victoria Road, Aldershot, on Tuesday
morning, to be dispatched to the Guards’ main
headquarters in Basra City, courtesy of the RAF.
The newspapers featured an article and pictures of
children making Fathers Day cards at the Connaught
Centre, North Camp, to send to “Daddy in Iraq”, an
event organised by the Welfare Office of the 1st Bn
Coldstream Guards.
This event was one of many activities organised for
families of Coldstreamers left back in the Aldershot
area.
The Coldstream Guards are currently serving on Op
Telic 6 in Basra and Al Amarah, due back in
Aldershot in November.
