Dinner, being held on the 4th October 2008. The
original held a return that was required to be completed
and sent back to RHQ. As time is getting very
short, a return has NOT been included below - should you

CIRCULAR NUMBER TWO
CHANGE OF ASSISTANT HONORARY SECRETARY TBC
1. Gentlemen this may well be the last Circular that you
will receive from me, in the near future I am due to be
posted to Armed Forces Careers Office Brighton as a
Recruiter for the Regiment.
2. My successor is unknown at this present moment in
time. Any correspondence will have to go through the
normal channels.
MINUTES OF THE ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
3. Attached are the Minutes of the Annual general
Meeting held in the London District Warrant Officers and
Sergeants Mess, Wellington Barracks, London on Saturday
10 May 2008.
ANNUAL DINNER 2008
4. The Seventy Second Annual Dinner of the Coldstream
Sergeants’ (Past & Present) Association will be held
this year in the Sergeants’ Mess, Victoria Barracks,
Windsor on Saturday 4 October 1930 for 2000.
5. The Colonel of the Regiment has been invited and has
agreed to be our Guest Speaker for the evening.
6. The cost for each Member dining will be £35.00, with
a reduction to £30.00 for Members who are pensioners.
Pensioners may wish to pay the full rate at their
discretion.
7. The proposed Menu is:

This will include a limited amount of wine and port.
8. If you wish to attend, please complete the attached
form and return it to me by Friday 26 September 2008
together with a cheque or postal order made payable to
The Sergeants’ (Past & Present) Association.
9. The order of dress for the Dinner is Mess Dress for
Present Members and Black Tie/Lounge Suit miniature
medals for Past Members.
10. Annual Members who have overlooked this year’s
subscription are reminded that in accordance with the
Rules of the Association they will be excluded from
Membership if the due amount is not received by the time
of the Dinner.
11. The Regimental Sergeant Major of the 1st Battalion
has agreed that accommodation for the Saturday night
only, in Victoria Barracks can be arranged. You are to
fill in the return stating if want accommodation for the
night. Lunch on the Saturday will be provided for a
small cost as will brunch on the Sunday.
12. Accommodation is limited to, so it will be on first
come first served basis. There are a number of Hotels in
Windsor that also do competitive rates for the weekend.
13. Please note that tickets for the dinner will no
longer be issued.

REGIMENTAL CHRISTMAS CARD 2008
15. This year’s card is a watercolour by artist Sean
Bolan, showing Number 7 Company mounting the final
Queens Guard from Chelsea Barracks in December 2007.
16. There will be one type of card. It will consist of
the picture with ribbon on the outside. The inside will
include the Regimental Star and Christmas Greetings. The
cost of this card is 60p (inc VAT), £7.92 per dozen,
including envelopes.
17. Your order will be despatched direct from Regimental
Headquarters. The charge for postage and packing is
shown on the enclosed order form.
Orders can only be accepted on this form. The final date
is Monday 1 December. All Cheques and Postal Orders
should be made payable to Central Bank Coldstream
Guards.
18. Please send a cheque for the correct amount when
ordering cards and diaries. A receipt will be sent on
request. To avoid the disappointments of previous years
it would be helpful if orders could be submitted in good
time.
REGIMENTAL DIARY 2008
19. The Regimental Diary for 2009 will be a One Week to
View Pocket Diary, bound in Blue. There will be four
pages of Regimental Information. The price is £5.00
including postage and packing. Orders can only be
accepted on the enclosed form.

currently under construction.
NOMINAL ROLL
21. I normally produce a Nominal Roll, however due to
cost of stationery and postage; I will produce this on

stamped self addressed envelope.
