Sgt. Wainwright’s
squad |
|
Message
accompanying image:
Dear Sir,
I thought you may like to add the attached picture to the
‘History’ section of www.shinycapstar.com. It is of Sgt.
Wainwright’s squad, 16 Coy, passing out from Pirbright in
August 1940. Unfortunately, I’m afraid the quality isn’t
that good.
My father, Jim Coates (middle row, 3rd from right) served
with the Coldstream until 1945, and was an active member of
the CGA Middlesbrough Branch until his death in 1997. He
always had immense pride in having been a Coldstreamer.
Kind regards,
David Coates
