The Signal
Platoon
(it's not just antenna's &
batteries!!!)
Although the Signal Platoon is a very busy part of the Battalion
with Bowman Trials and the conversion currently taking place,
they STILL find time in their extremely hectic schedule to take
time out. This ensures that everyone gets out as much as
they put into the day to day running of the Platoon.
The Signals Platoon recently deployed on a couple of
"excursions", some of which are shown below.
Skegness - Motorcycle News Spectacular
The first to mention was a trip to Skegness for the Motorcycle
News Spring Spectacular, and event that is extremely popular for
bike and non bike enthusiasts. In total there were approx
21 "gigs" (groups/entertainment) at the venue, ensuring there
was something for everyone's taste!
A few members of the platoon (and guests/taggers on) who were on
this venture were Capt Hawkes, WOII Lee (RSWO), CSgt Cooper, Sgt
Hayes, LSgt Long & LCpl Hepworth (sorry if i've forgot anyone).
A few images from this event are shown below.
If anyone is interested the
next venue is the Motorcycle News Autumn/Winter Spectacular on
8/9/10 Oct 04
Signals Adventure Training Fremington
The Signals Platoon were spilt shortly after Easter for a little
adventure training. Some of the Platoon attended a Sailing
Course whilst the others deployed to Fremmington and were split
into 3 groups to rotate through various activities.
A few images from Fremmington are shown below,
