7 COMPANY MARCH ON
The Coldstream Guards Freedom Of Berwick Parade

Number 7 Company Coldstream Guards, were again a sight to behold when the Company marched through Berwick -upon -tweed as the Regiment was given the freedom of the city.

The weather was perfect for an occasion such as this.
The Company Commander and also the Company sergeant Major were heard to say “ the standard and turn out were outstanding”.

ANOTHER ST GEORGES DAY MASSACRE!

FOR HARRY, ENGLAND AND ST GEORGE

(above) The Regimental Sergeant Major as St George, and far right slaying “puff the magic dragon”, alias Lsgt McGowan

It was another eventful time for the Coldstream Guards this week, as the Annual St Georges Day Pageant Got into full swing.

With Friends and families in full attendance the evil dragon was slain by the Regimental Sergeant Major. This was just the start of another exceptional day in the Coldstream calendar, as all then retired back to their respective messes to slay a few thirsts of their own.

THE HASTINGS HALF! MARATHON

Running.......running.......

Three coldstreamer’s recently brave the heat of the south coast to take part in the recent Hastings Half marathon. In a very respectable time of two hours and 25 minutes.

Company Sergeant Major Pote. Sergeant Hebson and also Gdsm Hodges completed this in boots and carrying 35 lbs of kit. The whole day was a great success.

"SNIPING AROUND"
OUT AND ABOUT WITH THE SNIPER PLATOON

The sniper platoon has been quite busy recently, getting some good valuable training in before the Battalion deploys to Afghanistan. Here pictured at Warcop North Yorkshire.

Sgt Paul Baines, “ I have you in my sights” with the army’s new sniper rifle, a fearsome weapon.

The platoon with one of its newest members, Quad bikes offer valuable manoeuvrability around the battlefield.

Below– The platoon after completing a sharpshooters course.

One of the Guardsmen said “ The sniper platoon is both Challenging and rewarding, and also one of the many

specialised trades available in the Battalion, it offers not only great job satisfaction, but playing a major role on the battlefield”.

So if you think you could make it as a sniper and pass the course, there will be a place for you.

"ON SAFARI"
7 COMPANY, ALL WORK AND NO PLAY!

Its not all ceremonial and Queens guards with number 7 company as they recently deployed on exercise grand prix to Kenya.

The company were given an excellent chance to work with the Kenyan Army, also to hone the jungle skills they already had.

After the exercise there was a great chance on R&R to go on Safari on the Kenyan national game reserve, and all done for free!!!.

So as people can see with Number 7 Company it's also a chance of travel around the world.

“Listen In” the Company

Sergeant Major passes on his wealth of experience to the company at a place known to all as “Archers Roast” due to the hot climate there.

Now you see me!!! Even the officers of Number 7 Company get in on the act, as they prepare for the final exercise!
