This section is designed to give potential Coldstreamers a good understanding about how to go about joining the Regiment, what to expect during training and a basic understanding of the terms and conditions of service, including details of pay.

We are one of the best recruited Regiments in the British Army. Nonetheless, we are always interested in interviewing suitable applicants and if you have the qualities we want then we will offer you a place.

> THE CHALLENGE

We have vacancies now for single and married men aged between 16 and 26. You will be trained fully to meet the requirements of life as a modern soldier. We can offer you a wide variety of career options that are described in Career and Promotion Opportunities. You will also be offered the chance to gain civilian recognised NVQs in many skill areas.

> WHERE SO WE RECRUIT FROM?

We recruit guardsmen from a wide variety of areas from Newcastle right down to Redruth in Cornwall. Our main recruiting areas are the North East, Yorkshire, the South West, as well as Leicester, London, and Sussex. All of the following Armed Forces Career Offices (AFCOs) have permanent Coldstream Guards Staff:

We can offer you various programmes designed to show you what life is like in the Coldstream Guards with no obligation for you to join.
